Why It’s Very Important to Be Active on Social Media

If you use social media for business, then having an active social media profile is key in order to get optimal results.

The more work you put into social media, the more you’ll get out of it. The benefits of using social media make it essential for any business to use for marketing.

Increase Engagement

Having  an active social media profile gives you more engagement with your audience.

The reason for this is, if you’re frequently posting on social media then you are keeping your target audience up to date with your business.

With an active social media channel (posting often), you’ll increase your reach & interaction much more than if you were not active.

This allows you to build you social media engagement with your followers (by interacting and communicating with them).

By not keeping your social media active, you decrease the amount of engagement that you have.

Think about it, if you are a social media user, would you be invested/interested in a brand/business that hasn’t posted on social media for months?

Probably not, and that’s because you’re not seeing regular updates or posts from the company that you are following on social media.

This is why being active on social media will skyrocket your engagement!

Grow Your Audience

By default, being active on social media will grow your audience because you’re posting regular content that your target market is interested in.

Build Brand Trust

I don’t know about you, but one thing I like to look at when it comes to a businesses reputation is its social media profile.

And if I find that it’s inactive, has zero engagement, and has no up to date content then I see that it doesn’t have a positive outlook on the brand.

However, if you have a strong social media profile with frequent and relevant content (that is targeted to the right audience), you’ll find that it will build brand trust, increasing your business reputation online.

The reason for being active on social media (for brand awareness) is you want potential customers to continuously see your brand image.

This, in turn, allows you to convert potential customers into buying customers (make your business known online).

  3. Hi Benjamin,

Social media is extremely important for businesses and not just to have profiles set up but they must be active as well. It’s not good to have profiles go dark then customers may think there is a problem with the business. Most importantly building relationships will be the key in gaining customers. Creating a brand for your business and getting connected with an audience is crucial for success.

    Thanks for sharing,

  5. Hi Benjamin,

I love Social Media. It is so important to be active on it in order to build relationships. Since I’ve been online I like my virtual friends more than those around me lol. Building relationships is a great way to do business. We cannot go out there and say “hey buy my stuff” but instead be interested in other people. Join groups, etc.

Once you are on social media, pick the places where your potential customers will be. It is pretty easy to find that out by engaging in conversations of theirs. If we choose two to three places and are on there consistently, our business will grow….we can get a lot of viral action from social media.

The trick is to really be there honestly for others not for ourselves. Eventually things start growing. We are not there to get married, but to date so to speak.

The best part of social media for me is that I made good friends with people all over the world.

When I first started blogging, I didnt realise how important it is to build relationships and connect with other people in the blogosphere. But when I realised that it couldn’t be done all by myself (which is what I was trying to do) I quickly found how key it is to interact with like-minded individuals in the blogging network. Again, thank all of you guys for your support! I’m amazed how wonderful blogging really is! 😀

      Kindest regards,
